Birthday in Chicago

I had my birthday in Chicago! It was my gift to me from mom, dad, and grandma. Loads of fun!

When we got off the train we went to the hotel and got everything settled. Then we pretty much left right away. We went to lunch at The Grand Lux (this was the main special birthday meal) which was wonderful. We ran around and did some shopping, a main location being American Girl Store, and also a trip to my favorite tea shop Teavana (www.teavana.com). We went to the hotel for some down time and then decided we were all ready for supper. We went to The Big Bowl (I keep wanting to call it the big RED bowl because it does in fact have a huge red bowl on the front of the building that is about the size of a 2 person hot tub) which I recomend to anyone in the area of one of these restraunts! Wonderful food! Then we went back to the hotel. We were al really tired because we walked all over the place trying to find the orrigional Ginos pizza, which the GPS on moms phone said was right there. So we circles these 2 blocks forever! To a degree that was correct because when it WAS THERE the location was where we were walking around... but they closed. So we didnt know that it closed. Neither did the GPS... oh well. After that we came back to the hotel, hung around the room a bit and went to bed.

In the morning we went to The Corner Bakery which was next door to The Big Bowl.

(Unfortunatly I didnt finish this post. I think we also went to the Childrens museum and a few other things but we left that day after going to a pizza place by Union Station. It was a really great trip, cant believe I never finished the post. Shame on me!)
